Each gesture counts. Your support can become a life jacket, a thermal blanket, or in the medical care that someone needs desperately.

Nu was born in Nigeria, in Kontagora State. He was 20 years old when, in January 2017, we found him in the central Mediterranean with 111 other people. He had left his country to flee Boko Haram; at the time, the terrorist group was kidnapping young men and boys to become soldiers.
He dreamed of becoming an engineer or a teacher and teaching the people of Kontagora everything he knew. But one day, armed men showed up at his house and kidnapped him and his brother. They were locked up in a prison for days without food or water. For months, they suffered abuse that destroyed them psychologically and made them insensitive to the pain of others. They ended up doing terrible things on the orders of the great chief and fighting in a war that wasn't theirs.
So one day they decided to escape…
